CityScape Engineering is a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) located in Baltimore, MD. We provide creative and reliable design of stormwater best management practices (BMPs), low-impact development (LID) practices, environmental site design (ESD) techniques, and native habitats aimed at creating healthier and greener urban landscapes, cleaning local waterways, and improving the health of the Chesapeake Bay. We specialize in providing design and permitting assistance to non-profits, community groups and local municipalities seeking environmental restoration and green infrastructure projects in and around Baltimore City. We love our City and are fully vested in creating a better Baltimore and a healthier Chesapeake Bay.

WHO WE ARE

KELLY LINDOW, PE
Founding Principal & Water Resources Engineer
Kelly Lindow is a Professional Civil Engineer with 14 years of experience in both the private and non-profit sectors working on stormwater practice design, green infrastructure, watershed planning, local NPDES program development and implementation & community engagement. She has designed and managed stormwater, watershed, and site renovation projects nationally and is well versed in local environmental permit requirements and procedures. Kelly has conducted workshops, webinars, and trainings on a wide range of stormwater topics. She has successfully supported and secured numerous grants for restoration projects in Baltimore City. Kelly serves on the ASCE-EWRI Urban Water Resources Research Council and is editor of the ASCE Publication Permeable Pavements. Kelly founded CityScape in January 2014.

NICK LINDOW, PhD, PE
Project Manager & Water Resources Engineer
Nick Lindow has 17 years of experience in ecological engineering for both private consulting and academia. Nick has been a project manager with CityScape Engineering, LLC since April 2015 and has managed the design of many urban green infrastructure and innovative green street projects in and around Baltimore City, MD. He has also assisted other major municipalities, such as Montgomery County, MD, Chapel Hill, NC, and New York City, NY, with development of long-term stormwater control plans and watershed implementation plans. His project experience includes geomorphic stream assessment and monitoring; construction oversight of stream, wetland, and urban stormwater projects; and hydrologic and hydraulic design for watershed restoration. Nick currently serves as the Greening Coordinator for the Druid Heights Community Development Corporation and on the board of the Friends of the Jones Falls.

EMMA MANNISO
Water Resources Engineer
Emma Manniso is a Water Resources Engineering with 4 years of consulting experience supporting stormwater, public infrastructure, and sanitary projects in Maryland and Virginia. Emma is a 3D CAD extraordinaire and brings a welcome skill set to our design team! Emma joined CityScape in January 2020 and her key responsibilities include site plan development, stormwater BMP design, drafting and CAD design, and permitting support services. Emma is a certified stormwater management inspector in the State of Virginia and is certified in HAZWOPER and NASSCO’s PACP/MACP/LACP program. She looks forward to working on innovative stormwater and restoration projects in Baltimore City. Emma is a graduate of the University of Delaware and a resident of Baltimore City. Emma is a member of the Maryland Stream Restoration Association, and when not studying for the upcoming Professional Engineering exam, she loves to take her dog Dewey to dog parks around Baltimore.

She also has field experience in wetland delineations, forest stand delineations, BMP inspections, and fire flow testing. She has experience permitting projects in many jurisdictions throughout Maryland. Jessica serves on the ASCE Maryland EWRI Chesapeake Bay Chapter Board and helped to write and publish the book, Inspections and Maintenance of Stormwater Control Measures, sponsored by the ASCE EWRI Stormwater Management Practices Maintenance Task Committee in 2019. Jessica joined CityScape in January 2021. She enjoys being outside with her family and her dog, Kayda.
